Not to be left out of the trend towards calling any job a "something-scientist", the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has filed paperwork to change the title of CPA to CPA Scientist.

Robert Kole, head of the AICPA explained the logic. "Listen, I'll be direct here. We work with data. We analyze stuff. We can can run regressions. And, by the way, we understand accounting. Why should some people that simply work with 'data' get the big scientist title? Explain that to me. From now on, it's Robert Kole, CPA Scientist."
Worried about being left behind, The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute is rumored to have organized an emergency committee to consider their options.
